Why Dubsado Task Boards Might Be Great For Your Clients
As a Systems Strategist for designers like you, I live off of creating, using, and managing systems. But systems are only as effective as the user. There’s no need to use complex systems if you’re not going to actually use them or if they complicate your life too much.
Instead, consider using your client relationship management system as a one-stop shop for all things management. If you are a solopreneur, and your clients do not need to interact with your projects, you could save yourself time, effort, and money by using your CRM...if you have the right system.
Dubsado is my favorite CRM for many reasons, but when I’m working with clients who need the simplest system, we start with Dubsado and only add what is absolutely necessary. While designers like you can function with only Dubsado, most need a project management system (PMS) like Asana, ClickUp, or Trello as well. However, Dubsado’s Task Boards can take the place of a PMS.
WHAT IS A DUBSADO TASK BOARD?
A Task Board in Dubsado looks like an online dry erase board where you can create a to-do list or checklist. You’re able to visually organize tasks that do not need to be automated (triggers an action). Task Boards have to be manually created, including due dates. They work outside of a project, and they can be shareable.
Dubsado Task Boards are great if you want to create a to-do list or brainstorm a project/ideas. Maybe you’re trying to share that to-do list with a client or to add it to a project. Both of those are totally possible with Dubsado Task Boards. The best part is that you can also make these Task Boards into templates to be reused as needed.
WHY A DUBSADO TASK BOARD?
A Dubsado Task Board is a great place to have templates for tasks that you do regularly and tasks that you want to check off regularly. Let’s say you’re working on getting your business taxes together. Monthly, you send out bills. You have bills monthly and annually. Maybe you want to create a Task Board with a checklist for monthly income and monthly expenses. You may also check your profits and losses every 2 months and pay your taxes quarterly. This type of Task Board is personal, but it could be shared with your tax consultant. It might look like this:
It’s a great way to stay focused and on task with specific due dates. The due dates will even show up on your calendar!
You can create a Task Board template and copy that Task Board easily or add that Task Board to a job or project.

GETTING STARTED
Task Boards are not automated or very fancy, but they work and function well. I wouldn’t suggest using both Tasks Boards and a project management system. But if you’re looking for a one-stop (simple) shop, Dubsado is your place and Task Boards are a great start!
